Fair one mate. I'm giving some consideration to the matter, but if we can build a rank and file movement within the CWU, it might be worth staying in.

Leaving the CWU won't help us. We still need them on a personal and local basis.

Absolutely. Its about the only thing some offices will have in terms of protection. We campaigned all summer to keep our office were it is. No idea what will happen over the next few months. We've got a top rep but we're earmarked for closure and apparently thats that.

If we did end up leaving the CWU, and joining other Unions. What would be the legal position in the event of a Strike?
I for one, will never cross a Picket Line, even if it is a CMA one! But would it be classed as Unofficial Industrial Action to refuse to cross another Union's Official Picket Line. If it IS classed as Unoffical Action, where would we stand Legally?

At the moment, if we go out unofficially, we have safety in numbers. If we are split amongst two or more Unions, then that would weaken our position.
