Can't believe 50,000 votes didn't make it to the counting table, ever heard of voter apathy?

PHONED UP HEADQUARTERS REGARDING MISSING PAPER WAS TOLD TO PHONE BRANCH
PHONED BRANCH AND THAY TOLD ME THAY WOULD GET INTOUCH WITH HEADQUARTERS

Hq know that they cannot send out a duplicate ballot paper, they are leading you up the garden path saying that you should contact the branch.
If you don't get a ballot paper, thats it. sorry.

It wasn't a democratic vote. They had 'vote yes' plastered all over the ballot paper. Have you ever voted in an election where it tells you who to vote for on your paper. This was an abuse of the democratic system for a fair vote and heavily influenced the outcome of the ballot. Fair enough that there was propoganda from both Yes and No voters being sent out but the ballot paper itself should not have had and influencing statements on it. After what I saw I'm surprised there was a box for a No vote.

Well said Rowdy. You can add to that the bonus which was ours anyway, and the back pay (of which they screwed us out of several hundred pounds) and what we saw wasn't the will of the membership, but bribery by the CWU/RM cabal.

I joined some 5 1/2 years ago. And I remember voting on the pay deal offered by Royal Mail. It was unanimously backed. I then remember the CWU then re-wording another vote so that we had to strike. I thought then that whatever we wanted we would NEVER get it as long as this union was in control. Dont forget the CWU agreed the new deal on the day they were shat on by Royal Mails legal team. It stinks.

When we have our work learning I always urge everybody to speak their mind and disagree with anything that they don t like.
Normally there is silence, then in the van going out to work, eveyone moans. None of this should suprise any of us that take time to voice an opinion or stand up for what we feel is right. Now we are all surprised that somehow out of nowhere, 50,000 posties did not vote.

The 50,000 that did not vote should be ashamed of themselves. Even if it had meant a massive YES vote. At least it would have been conclusive. Now we will have endless topics asking where the 50,000 votes went, was it a stitch up etc etc.

We deserve nothing if this apathy continues.
