Well i dont know about your office but ours has done the following...
Hand sanitiser and gloves - yes
Forcing staff to stay at work who have symptoms - No. Some at our office have chosen to self isolate and we have been kept up to date with how many are self isolating in other offices too.
Working practices have also changed to accomodate the 2metre rule.
Just say NO ....to the new agreement.

I agree da bunny .Is the petitioner able to provide evidence that people are dying from reading their post? I agree D2Ds should stop and health and safety should be followed.Hand wash gloves masks and so on are a available.Ask and make sure You get it.Distances enforced. What are the petition organisers aims exactly. Its just one big stupid rant.
Also how many who sign will be the ones who are behaving like it’s a wet bank holiday weekend with nothing to do but shop online lol

Well i dont know about your office....
You could have left it at that.
Claiming she hasn't got her facts right because of your own very limited experience is silly.

Read the comments on the CWU Facebook page and you'll see your office seems to be in the minority.

We do not need this blame culture as adults we all must take responsibility for our own actions so wash hands wear gloves stay as far apart as you can do not go face to face keep your van clean the only thing ive not been given is a mask that would be a good thing but its hard to get the amount we would need for the whole workforce. So i wont sign.

The above ^^.Today I’ve delivered bloody everything from Easter eggs(FFS!!) to “special car polish” .Didnt see the recipient bleating about how I’m delivering a deadly virus. Used my gloves, hand cleanser and safe distances. Don’t understand why any one working for RM needs to sign a petition...speak up in your office or see rep

On BBC news they have a regular Q&A thing, one was on the mail, what the scientist bloke on there said was recent studies showed that paper and cardboard soak up the virus rapidly and then gets inactivated.
The question was do customers need to use gloves to open up the mail, the answer was no.

Hard surfaces could be up to 72hrs.

Just pointing it out, it's still a worry obviously but you also need to keep doing that hand washing don't touch your face thing as much as possible regardless.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

My wife is a nurse in charge of a department. She says untrained people wearing gloves is a complete waste of time unless they are repeatedly changed and do more harm than good as hands are not washed as often.
Slider tool. Lol.
