Was just wondering if anyone had received their ballot material yet? I believe it is being conducted by email.

I received my email ballot yesterday (I'm a Labour Party member). I voted for the CWU recommendations, Rebecca Long-Bailey for Leader, and Angela Rayner for Deputy Leader.

Have the 3 candidates declared their position on re-nationalisation? Assume RLB will. I'm a member of both Labour and the Union and have no idea who to vote for.

Starmer almost certainly won't renationalise. Nandy is also to the right of the party and so is unlikely to either. Long-Bailey has committed to renationalising key utilities, including RM.

Preserving the USO is more important in guaranteeing our jobs than an ideological re- nationalisation of RM. We had as many disputes when it was in government hands as what we’ve had since privatisation.

I want the best possible chance at getting a Labour government in, so I’ll be voting for Keir Starmer.

Renationalising Royal Mail is pie in the sky nonsense. By the time Labour get into power we'll more than likely be a full on parcel courier possibly at least part owned by one of the other players and the USO will be a forgotten side issue.

Cast your vote on the future of the Labour Party not the future of Royal Mail. RLB and her crew have had their shot and turned the party into an echo chamber completely out of touch with Labour voters...and still they think they're right and everyone else just doesn't get it.

From what I’ve seen an heard on the debate shows it’s got to be Nandy. Starmer is a typical politician...... very slippery and never really gives an answer to a question, he just skirts around the issue, tries to please everyone and turns the subject to something else. RLB seems very much on the outside as if she’s just making up the numbers. Looking at the polls though it seems Starmer is the overwhelming favourite. Whether that’s because people have already made up their minds beforehand is anyone’s guess but it’ll be a shame if that is the case.

Still not got mine, but im not a full member - only opted in to vote through the union. Received the initial email saying that voting emails would be sent out but nothing yet.

We need someone with energy to inject socialism into our lives not Tony Blair in a dress or with a knight hood Jesus H Christ SIR Labour leader sorry NO! Rebecca Long-Bailey is my choice working class background I think she will do a good job. As for deputy leader Angela Rayner same as reasons it will be a hard contest but they are my two hopes as they are the best two people for the job.

Starmer’s dad was a toolmaker and his mother was a nurse, so his working class credentials are sound. He wasn’t born a sir.

It's a shame that Starmer is portrayed/comes across as a 'toff' because of his education and diction. I don't want him as leader, but not because he 'sounds posh'.

I suppose no one would describe Boris Johnson as a ‘soul-less, wit-less automaton’ and that’s working out alright for all of us.
