Just wondering if anyone on here is in the Swindon area or other areas where the parcel seperation/van delivery trials are taking place. And how are you getting on?

At WTL recently in our office we were told by a manager he had heard it wasn't going very wellNorthernPostman wrote:Just wondering if anyone on here is in the Swindon area or other areas where the parcel seperation/van delivery trials are taking place. And how are you getting on?

It doesn't matter if the trials are a disaster Royal Mail will still push ahead with the changes, they are in too deep now

New parcel strategy trials are like the Titanic sailing too fast towards an iceberg.
Neither side of the equation - the LAT hub staff delivering parcels over an extended area or the posties being lumbered with 20% more drop points - will have enough duty time to complete the job.
The bench merging trials and the first AHDC trials also both failed massively.
We don't have competent people in upper or middle management in RM now.

Not necessarily. The two most recent trials - bench merging and the first version of the AHDC - both failed monumentally especially the bench merging one. RM or rather the CEOs have a history of making terrible decisions regarding running the business. The current direction of travel could actually destroy the business without us even striking.oypostie wrote:For trial read roll out

The bench merging and AHDC though were both proper trials done in conjunction with the union. The parcel separation is just Rico and his cronies forcing through their plans regardless. The only thing that might make them change their mind is a strike

And if their trials will fail, wich they will.
I don`t get it, after one year + of Lat offices, do they really made a profit from delivering 10-20 parcels on a 80 miles + radius?
I don`t believe that...
And now they want to polute the planet even more with another 7000 vans to do same routes like the morning posties?
Unbelievable
