I know this might be getting stupid, but if people start getting quarantined will they then resort to ordering online, touch our PDA's to sign then i get it the next delivery point gets it and so on ,we could contaminate the whole country within weeks ,so can we be given extra time or take some off us so we can disinfect our PDA's :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

On that scale, would that even be RM's decision?

Waht about MCs and RDCs? It's still potentially spread via the network

I think there's too much hysteria and panic over this virus, which essentially another flu, its not exactly the black death or smallpox.

Guys, Forget what all the experts are saying. NWpostie said its fine. :arrrghhh I keep seeing the same sentiment on social media as well. People with attitudes like yourself are the reason it spreads.

I'm glad we have your expert medical opinion to hand however it's not 'essentially another flu'. That's a different virus. The initial symptoms may be similar but the danger is on a completely different level.

A. This is a Coronavirus, similar to the common cold with similar transmission rates far higher than Influenza primarily because like the common cold and unlike the flu it looks like COV19 can be transmitted through airborne particles.

B. Roughly 1% of Influenza cases require hospital intervention, at the moment the figure for COV19 is 14%.

C. The mortality rate for Influenza is roughly 0.05%, the estimated mortality rate for COV19 is between 1% best case and 2% worst case, that's between 20 and 40 times more lethal.

D. Unlike Influenza there is no vaccine available.

E. Unlike Influenza humans have no natural immunity to COV19.

It may become less lethal over time, viruses don't like to kill their hosts but by that time it will probably have killed far more people than the black death ever did.

If you can convince your doctor you’ve been in a area of the corona virus, he/she will sign you off for 2 weeks & place you in isolation, worth a punt?
