There are two sides to that story.lin1 wrote:Do we get extra pay for d2d’s?
Before it was changed however many years ago we used to get paid between 1.67p and about 4.25p per item depending on the size and weight of the item. The higher figure might have been more than that.
After it was changed some posties were of the opinion that we don't get paid anything extra to prep and deliver them. Others believe twenty quid from the delivery supplement on your pay slip forms the current payment for doing them. I am of the latter and believe I am correct in this assumption. Awaiting replies to tell me I am wrong ........

It has been quieter for a while but as a general rule there is not duty time available to prep the D2Ds.Hitcher wrote:Why would you when they're part of your mail and the time to prep them is built into your duty along with your letters, flats, and packets.

Then you ask for overtime if you can't complete on time but a row a day takes 10-15mins to prep.Celgar wrote:It has been quieter for a while but as a general rule there is not duty time available to prep the D2Ds.Hitcher wrote:Why would you when they're part of your mail and the time to prep them is built into your duty along with your letters, flats, and packets.

Then they're wrong; it's to make up for the lose of the extra money D2D's provided when they were built into the prep time.Celgar wrote:Others believe twenty quid from the delivery supplement on your pay slip forms the current payment for doing them. There is no longer payment for d2d. What you get now is a delivery supplement pro Rata, partly funded from monies saved from d2d budget. When walk and prep times are constructed, a element of time to prep and del should have been built into your day.

The Union confused the issue including this in the 2010 agreement: https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... 15&t=33978" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
For some reason, people misinterpret this as being we get paid for D2Ds, we don't.To coincide with the introduction of the national agreement unit payments will cease and the 3 items per week cap will be removed. D2D Monies will be turned into a delivery supplement paid 52 weeks a year for all delivery employees (OPG and ORR) pro rata for part-time employees.

we don’t get paid officially for d2ds but the delivery supplement only started once the d2d payment stopped , so they are connected , which causes the confusion.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:We have had this beforeCelgar wrote:There are two sides to that story.lin1 wrote:Do we get extra pay for d2d’s?

You are wrong. If you don't believe me you could ring payroll and ask about D2D payment.Celgar wrote:There are two sides to that story.lin1 wrote:Do we get extra pay for d2d’s?

You also get the delivery supplement when on A/L and off sick, something that never happened with the D2D payment.

Officially you've got Mon-Sat to get them all delivered but each office has its own rules. In ours some people get away with not doing any and the linos just collect them at the end of the week to send back to the mail centre.Cluaran wrote:A row a day!
