Sooo What could go wrong next time? It’s clear We need to get it right. Anything that can go wrong needs to be identified now. Don’t get Your post out of the frame on the day the paper comes through.Dont get in a group and vote with Any Workmates. Post it in a box in Your own time out on a street. What else? :hmmmm

It's pretty nailed on we'll get a yes vote again, which makes it easy for anyone not wanting to strike, for whatever reason, to ensure the ballot breaks the rules somehow.
Of course this is me playing devils advocate, but you heard it here first, it will happen.

I worry about Pullingers use of the word schizophrenic when referring to Royal Mail managers. Not sure if there are any rules to using such language in a ballot. If there is you can be damn sure Royal Mail will use it.

Yes both excellent points guys. The ballot can be easily sabotaged. Also TP and anyone who is over enthusiastic needs to be reigned in in case they balls it up again

Union need to find a way to get the ballot papers delivered so that numbskull OPG's can't open them up in the office and say "look at me I'm voting yes" for likes on FB.

Oh and sack the social media mob that encourage it last time.

are parcelforce members getting re-balloted?
pretty sure their yes vote was ok before, if so, is there a time frame to execute industrial action before it becomes invalid?
we need to be in sync between the 2

if you check back it was pullinger that said in a video, if your in a DO that has your home mail then fill it in and post it back, as the ruling in court said this then made it a work place ballot, I know who ballsed up, however nearly every DO has different ways of working and now is not the time for apportioning blame, now is the time to stick together and fight back against these idiots, after its all done and dusted then it needs looking at, I have no doubt they will take us to court again, but then we reballot again, our jobs are too important to roll over to a bunch of twats like them

To stop fellow colleagues from posting pics up of what they voted for can be easily solved on any social media platform by the CWU by disabling any comments on their pages during the ballot period. Even after I think it would be best also for the CWU not to post any pics submitted as a comment on their pages.

totally agree 100% apart from the last part, members were encouraged to act daft and the comms team loved it at the the time, this isn't a tv reality show, it's peoples lives & well-being at stake
but i do feel they will let us strike or not block it this time and see how it pans out
we had the xmas bargaining chip which was tossed away, forget the election as we'd already decided, now we have lighter days approaching with extra lapsing so what's the harm in mail building up 2 or 3 days for them, they'll find ways to get priority stuff out

Just don't be stupid, it's really not complicated. Fill it out at home and post it like any workers being balloted for industrial action do.

Q
For how long is a ballot for industrial action now valid?

A
The 2016 Act extends the period of notice that trade unions must give prior to industrial action from the previous 7 days to 14 days, unless the employer agrees to seven days’ notice.

The legislation also sets a six-month expiry date on ballot mandates, which can be extended to nine months with the agreement of the employer; after this period industrial action will require a fresh ballot.
