Missed WTL this week but got it in the post. There's an invaluable section on how to cross a road. Thank god i read it. Always wondered how to do it properly.

You may scoff but you would be surprised how low the fruit hangs in my DO, these are the kind of guys they warn you to keep washing gel capsules away from. I sometimes think Royal Mail is a giant Darwinian experiment.

Ha, you may scoff but one of our guys got hit by a pushbike on a quiet residential road last week - did he look when he started to cross the road?
Was he checking the mail for the next drop and didn't look up? Did he assume because he couldn't hear a car there was no traffic? Who knows?

Also, you do realise that your manager has saved 30 minutes of compulsory WTLL and used it for delivery time by sending a photocopy through the mail....?

I thought cyclists were meant to have bells fitted on their bikes but you rarely see a bike with one fitted. More likely to hear a barage of insults and shouting from them as they come at you four a breast under the mistaken impression they have entered the Tour de France.
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

Bizarrely, no: https://www.eta.co.uk/cycling-and-the-law/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Bikes have to be fitted with bells while in the bike shop, but there is no legal requirement to fit or use them once on the road. The Highway Code merely suggests that cyclists 'should be considerate of other road users,

Bloody cyclists, such a nuisance. Electric cars should be fitted with bells as well!! My favourite vehicle is a those boy racer cars with wide exhausts, they may be doing 90mph but at least you hear them coming

That's probably unusual. Here if you miss WTL you don't get sent a copy in the post, you simply miss it.

If you miss WTLL the manager just comes round with the name sheet and says 'just sign here'

Only time you might get a bit of it at a latter date is if it's one of the "ass covering" videos
