So I’m coming up on 3 years service. Been promised Full Time a few times now. Still hasn’t happened. But DOM has taken on 6 full time transfers in 2 years. We’ve had people retire and leave and there’s currently spaces to be filled. My contract has supposedly been sent off for approval, he said that start of December and there’s still no news.
I didn’t receive a full time Xmas bonus. Union rep said it would be dealt with automatically in January and I wouldn’t have to do anything. I’m still yet to receive this.
I had my holiday back paid for 1 week in April 2019. I filled the forms out, and filled them out for 3 holidays I’ve had since then and I only got generic emails from ACAS saying RM aren’t looking to agree a settlement. My union rep said all holiday pay disputes are being dealt with Q1 2020. I’ve still had no news.
I honestly feel like I’m being shafted around here. Kept in the dark but still have that carrot on the string in front of my nose.
Does anyone have any advice or updates on situations like this?

If you get full time after just 3 years your doing very well! I've done 25 years but had to wait 5 years and transfer offices to get full time as a leave reserve. I don't see how you can be promised full time hours when any vacancy would go on seniority anyway. As for the holiday stuff, we are all in the same boat

Not sure why you think you should get FT bonus if you've not yet been hired on a FT contract - unless your contract was temporarilyMinTee wrote:................

upgraded for FT during the Xmas pressure period. When the rep said 'it should happen automatically in Jan' are you sure he/she
didn't mean the Incentive Underpin Payment (which was paid in this weeks pay chit)?
When ACAS say that RM aren't looking to agree a settlement, what they possibly mean is that they won't accept early conciliation. All
claims are now going to Employment Tribunal (no specific date was given, but the LTB said '...in the New Year...' if I remember
rightly) but you have to submit your claim to the ET service after you've had a rejection
for Early Conciliation from ACAS. The procedure is detailed somewhere in the 'Average Pay While On Annual Leave' board

with the tribunal claim process.

To make it a bit clearer, DOM keeps promising a few of us a full time contract. He’s had us working FT on a PT contract since we started, we don’t get asked anymore just rostered down for full time hours each week. So we’re treated like full time until it comes to paying equally to a real full timer, such as sick pay and holidays etc
He keeps telling us he’s going to make us up, then getting FT transfers in. Last month he told us that he had sent our FT contracts up to his manager, then another manager and HR for approval, that was 6 weeks ago. Just seems like I’m being lied to

Does it not work that if more hours are needed in the office then the hours would be added and then it would go on seniority who gets them not necessarily the people who have been performing the work as overtime?MinTee wrote:To make it a bit clearer, DOM keeps promising a few of us a full time contract. I know it’s only 3 years service but even ruined above me is full time or a part timer who doesn’t want to be made up. That’s why we’ve been told we’re next to be made up.

That's fair enough then, you've fallen very lucky in the office you're in to be getting the chance of full time after 3 yearsMinTee wrote:I am part of the senior group waiting on hours.citypostie wrote:Does it not work that if more hours are needed in the office then the hours would be added and then it would go on seniority who gets them not necessarily the people who have been performing the work as overtime?MinTee wrote:To make it a bit clearer, DOM keeps promising a few of us a full time contract.
