Probably fair the union go after a similar increase in that case. When is the next pay deal due?

I'd guess that anyone on minimum wage plus tax credits and other associated benefits now have considerably higher net income than our take home pay.

Done a few, quite frankly getting paid £11 to pop a piece of paper through a door and push a button to go bip for a parcel is scandalously well paid.deltaforce wrote:Plenty of minimum wage jobs out there. Do try one!

oh yes, I love to stay out an extra hour over my time just to get an extra £11. Especially when it's chucking it down with rain and I am on a round I don't know. Just knowing that I am getting that £11 in my back pocket so I can buy a couple of Sainsbury's deluxe microwave meals, brings a huge smile to my face.leolion855 wrote:Done a few, quite frankly getting paid £11 to pop a piece of paper through a door and push a button to go bip for a parcel is scandalously well paid.deltaforce wrote:Plenty of minimum wage jobs out there. £11 man, we are living the dream.
Some agent of some footballer just pocketed $15million for saying 'my guy will sign for you'.
anyway, on a serious note....
£11 an hour for someone living in Newport, Wales might be pretty nice, but in the more expensive areas of the UK....£11 doesn't go far.

First, who mentioned anything about going over?, the subjects the hourly wage.
Second if you can find an easier way of earning £11 an hour without any qualifications then please do share with us how this is achieved legally.
Third we all know anything football related is overpaid so us mortals wont get anywhere near.

Even more scandalous is people sitting in a cozy office getting paid more for basically telling people how to put a piece of paper through the door and pushing a button to go bip.leolion855 wrote:Done a few, quite frankly getting paid £11 to pop a piece of paper through a door and push a button to go bip for a parcel is scandalously well paid.deltaforce wrote:Plenty of minimum wage jobs out there. Lets have a little break from your debate whether postmen are overpaid and how far £11 go in certain areas of UK and lets see how likely we are to get pay rise deal this year. I reckon a rise in the region of 6% is highly unlikely but at anything above CIP index (1.5%) would be fair enough. Hopefully our union or whoever is responsible to negotiate this will approve anything for us.
