Surely this is removing mail from the Pipeline to effect the result of a ballot! Shouldn't this be a matter for a High Court Injunction

That sounds serious and illegal, what you mean by given to the Returns Officer? Never heard of such function in Rm?
And who has the time to separate postal votes from all the colod an SA collection???

The returns officer is someone who works in the local council to oversee elections. Nothing to do with us.Janet Brum wrote:That sounds serious and illegal, what you mean by given to the Returns Officer? Never heard of such function in Rm?

it's a double standard in ballot protocol and rm has no right to intervene in democracy. a vote cast too late wouldnot be counted. rm have £30 million paycheck todeliver the GE via the USO. They have a legal duty of care yet to prioritise the GE business over and above SAME mail is intentional delay, requiring formal conduct...
aye, that will be some massive profit laden and politically biased hypocrisy...and sack-able even for a first offence

it used to be called wilful delay...it is still a delay to other mail by taking it to the council after segregating it, someone is not able to do their 'normal' work. planning, resourcing and labour/fuel is being allocated to mail destined to fail due to normal busy pipeline...it is dodgy business practice AND undemocratic...those whom postal vote and leave it toolate should be using s.del/tracked sevices and paying more personally fortheir right to dither...not getting rico to ferry it through on the cheap and at the expense of other business. someone has made a dubious decision within rm as to securing a false outcome to postal service votes and blagging the system as to how busy thepipeline really is.

If your local MC has got their iLSM or IMP programmed to do so, they should seg most of them out there but some will still make it to the sequencing batches that cover a returning officer's office

I've heard it's a RM brief, from memory I'm sure it's happened in other elections.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Might as well open them as well because sure as hell not in the system with the other mail is this how management control the flow of mail in the postal system or is this from upon high once again?

Our manager announced today that if we have collections tomorrow then to look through the stuff and keep any postal votes separate. I don't think so. For one I haven't got time for that and two - if old Doris hasn't posted her ballot before today then it's her own fault. Also as others have stated it's wilful delay to advance the mail I think.

Laura Kuenssberg the BBC Political editor Let slip today that Tory Candidates had been looking at Postal Votes already ( there not meant to she added ) and things are looking shaky for Labour.
So this is basically an admission that Returning Officers in Tory Lead Councils have already opened postal Ballots ( ahead of time ) to give Tory Central office an Idea of how voting is going!
And the corrupt barstards , reckon we interfered with a postal ballot.

Bacofoil report sales of kitchen foil have increased by 100%, and the reason behind it is being cited as increased sales due to a spike in Conspiracy Theories, with the resultant demand for Bacofoil hats over the last few weeks.

Read that statement out loud and then try to spot the glaringly obvious flaw in the logic.kookoo32 wrote: Also as others have stated it's wilful delay to advance the mail I think.
If it is still unclear why that statement is palpable nonsense try asking a five year old.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Postal votes always get opened the day they arrive with the council, they are however not counted though until the polling stations have closed on polling day.magicw wrote:Laura Kuenssberg the BBC Political editor Let slip today that Tory Candidates had been looking at Postal Votes already ( there not meant to she added ) and things are looking shaky for Labour.
