ive recently triggered a stage 3 my health has always been a issue with my chest i came in to work on the friday but had to go home as was to unwell to continue i told manager i would make the time up on monday as didnt want to go sick as on a stage 2 came back on the saturday foolishly made myself even worse were sunday i was coughing up bits of blood so had to phone in sick monday was off for a week now just found out it has been put down as 2 absences as came in on the sat and thsts triggered the stage 3 will common sense provale ir should i be worried about liding my job

if all of your absences have been related to you going sick with same problem....your continuing chest problems, then you should be ok, as long as it has been logged as such, it may well be you have a bronchial condition that is constantly causing you to be unwell and as such you may well qualify to come under the equalities act. make sure your area/div rep knows about it before your interview. you are in the union I take it?

The part day absence on Friday shouldn't be counted as a day, part days do not contribute towards sick unless sick is continued to the next day (which yours didn't)
