Interview Leave

Post by Jamesfr3man »

Hi all, I've recently applied for another job outside of RM as I've started to get fed up and have been told the interview date. Unfortunately, it’s not on my rest day and was wondering if RM will let you take leave to go to interviews? If not, then maybe a sick day is needed

I'm sure you could apply for a day's leave, otherwise swap your rest day?

A sudden dose of the runs after eating something dodgy might come on that day...
Worth it in the long run.

If you were to go to work and suddenly start feeling unwell and went home after a few mins, it is classed as a part day absence and does not count as part of the attendance procedure....... Just saying!

Sorry but what kind of company allows a worker to go for an interview that might lead to them leaving?
If you wouldn’t be able to swap the day off then go sick

I spoke privately to a sympathetic manager when I did this recently. He allowed me a day off unpaid.
