PSM query here, bit confused & disappointed with the way our PSM is run with regards to revenue. We are not allowed to cancel, cross, ect stamps so surely loads of revenue must be lost. Just wondered if it's the same at all offices that have a PSM? We are just pressured to bang the packets, parcels, flats out as fast as possible

Not sure what a PSM is. We have noticed that most stamps are not cancelled nowadays so we usually put a biro pen line through them either while prepping them into the frame or out on delivery. It is yet another task for posties to do though on top of all the others while both sides nibble away at our duty time.
I think it was mentioned people were buying stamps that could be used again on eBay or similar sites for sixteen pence each. Not sure if that is still being allowed to happen.

The managers & line manager only care about getting hitting targets. If your caught 'wasting time' crossing stamps you get told offworld class male wrote:not allowed to? they were banging on about us watch out for this not too long ago, we had posters stuck about the officeBingsmith wrote:Good evening,

Probably where MCs have had their budgets and staffing levels cut, means there's not enough time to be cancelling stamps

I'm assuming that in DOs there's just one budget, in a MC as well as the overall MC budget, each shift has its own budget and each work area has its own budgetBingsmith wrote:They would have more in the budgets if they wasn't losing so much on revenueSpacePhoenix wrote:Probably where MCs have had their budgets and staffing levels cut, means there's not enough time to be cancelling stamps

Basically no one cares about the business as a whole. People only care about their own individual bonuses. That’s how we roll baby.

It takes time to protect the revenue ie jobs hours bodies years ago every office had revenue protection the top don't give a fig anymore why should you don't get a bonus for it nor does anybody!
