How dare you Royal Mail......
How dare you Royal Mail asking me not to strike before Christmas, I don't remember sending you a letter like you have me today asking you to wait just a few days to announce last years profits forecast, just before we could sell our shares. You know what's coming next, a campaign by The Sun newspaper calling us low life scum for trying to ruin Christmas for millions of kids. Absolutely disgusted by their double standards, if we do not make a stand this time then as private Frazer once said "WE'RE ALL DOOMED".

Ive been listening to some of the presenters on the radio..
They seem to be deliberately ignoring what terry and dave ward are saying... and siding with royal mail.. about the election....
The dispute was way in advance of a general election.. but all of a sudden they are using this bullshit to discredit the cwu... what a total disgrace.. they are to use childish tactics..
Its about time they are kicked in the nuts..... enough is enough.... greed and profit.....to human beings with wealth.. no more...

Where I live there are two massive aircraft hangars owned by Amazon - sure they're not aircraft hangers but they're of that size. I'm sure there are plenty others just like this all over the country.roadrunner bill wrote:Technology should be there to aid you..

In time with the demise of letters Amazon will take over RM in terms of packets...and while the management continue to f**k their staff over it can pretty much only go from bad to worse.

If Royal Mail really want to sort this they should get around the table with the Cwu and thrash it out rather than trying to play the blame game . We had the same nonsense in our work time learning this morning .All it does it get our backs up and make us even more determined to back our union.

it’s almost like they are goading us now in to taking action. I hope we don’t back down as we have seen before. That letter this morning was the final straw for me. It was a joke

We had a meeting today and our manager is trying to persuade us not to go on strike! He said we have the best terms and conditions around and that if we’re not careful they will just go ahead with their plans and could potentially lose our jobs he also claims that they are employing thousands of temps who will apparently deliver all the election material LOL. They are basically saying we are out of order for striking at this time of year but unless we stand together on this we are going to get shafted with bigger deliveries and less guaranteed hours.chickenwittle wrote:If Royal Mail really want to sort this they should get around the table with the Cwu and thrash it out rather than trying to play the blame game . CWU are absolutely hopeless. Piss up and brewery.chickenwittle wrote:If Royal Mail really want to sort this they should get around the table with the Cwu and thrash it out rather than trying to play the blame game . I had a grievance put against me by Royal Mail. CWU sent five members my way. Two refused to back me, the other three turned up at the meetings I had with RM and just sat there and said nothing.
The grievance wasn't really a big deal. A waste of £4 a month.
CWU will fold like a deckchair and we'll be back to square one once again.

If the Union bends to Royal Mail's demands and gives up the position of power a strike in December gives them i am 100% leaving the Union and never paying into it again, it would be pointless. After the Christmas rush RM will be able to deal with the strikes in terms of getting temp workers and agencies to cover the work and prepare them for future industrial action also, this is them testing just how much of a pushover the Union really are.

at least everyone from merseyside will be supporting us nowfrankieboy wrote: a campaign by The Sun newspaper
to be honest the usual media will be backing RM's side, that's politics, and i tend to ignore them as they don't want to publish the full facts to the average joe bloggs.
how many "oh it's xmas again and the posties are striking again" comments have you seen, yet when was the last strike around xmas time?
this is where the cwu need to grab the headlines and get the whole truth out there
