General Election 12th December

Post by NorthernPostman »

MPs have voted for a General Election on the 12 December. This is going to be fun handling all the leaflets and poll cards, along with potential strikes, all at the busiest time of the year!

opt out of all election material(s)/bumf (excepting direct mailings) and forego the $£; on principle...just do the job, no more/no less...a union agreement to ONLY deliver the mandatory post/d2ds AND ONLY within contracted hours using correct equipment; bags weighed, neighbours tried, vehicles checked etc.

but ya won't tho will ya, cos yer afeared of them bully-boys...huh? yeh, YOU! 97.1% anonymous vote but spineless when confronted with the reality of being overworked and underpaid...your chance to shove a bit of s**t back uphill is upon us all...REMEMBER THEY NEED US MORE THAN THEY ARE WILLING TO ADMIT AT THIS TIME OF YEAR, don't capitulate now...they have taken you for granted for too long and GOTTEN RICH IN BONUSES/ PAYRISES & GOLDEN HELLOS...meanwhile muggins just takes the crumbs from offa the table and grumbles all the way home...

MAN-UP AND KICK BACK A BIT...it's NOT your problem, it's theirs. Yours is NOT to reason why; just to do (your bit) to the best of your ability and then go home and switch off... :left: :cuppa :whistle :no no :dance :so there

Ironically enough, a lot of people are going to go on strike one week, and then the next, go vote for the Tories to deliver Brexitland.

This "smilie" gets used a lot on this forum. But this time it's warranted.

Ok, let me explain lol. I work in a large delivery office, from an area that's hugely pro-Brexit, many people working there will be out on strike one week, and then a week or two later, many of them will go vote for the Tories, cause it's going to be the only way to deilver Brexit.

So, as you say, they'll be voting for a party that has f****d the trade unions... I was just pointing out the strangeness of that situation, what a weird time we live in...

I was in no way suggesting you would personally do that :nana

you can , if you don't agree with a party you have the right to not deliver those items.

I work in a similar office. Can guarantee everyone will vote brexit party. Even if they don't have any sort of manifesto
It'll be 100s of working class people voting directly against their best interests
