Best case scenario as it's a genuine mistake rather than intentional, you could get a 2 year serious.

I've been in a similar situation but my keys wasn't "lost" it rolled into a recess within the van, which was found days later, still got a 2 year warning because they had to replace all the locks in the meantime, still excessive in my opinion.

We were told that keys and any collection mail must always be carried in the back of the van. We've had keys go "missing" and nothing seems to have happened

Hi all appreciate that you have all taken the time to read this and respond.

Currently still on suspension had an meeting with my line manager to go over the details before been processed further,
Rep felt that the meeting went well but with the area rep telling me more often than not it ends in dismissal I can’t shake any negative feelings.

I was working in number 6 crime area for criminal activity the in uk with bags that didn’t have clips on which I reported 2 weeks prior on a duty I’ve done 3 times to add to it we were the last ones out of the office due to an internal error by management by not producing enough prep to the frame leaving me and my partner quite stressed and pressured to finish on time.

These are some of the factors put forward in hope to recover from this.

Hmm I've known posties when emptying their collection pouches to have mistakenly put the collection keys in with the mail. It's happened to at least 2 of the guys I've worked with and the keys have been found at the mail centre. They are both still working with Royal Mail.

You've made a mistake, its an accident, I wouldn't worry but you shouldn't have been suspended
