Doctor gave me a 3 week sickline with possible more time off if needed.

Not even off a week DOM asking me to go in for a meeting. Which I now know doesnt have to happen until 28 days.

Ive been told I have to make contact every 7 days i.e once a week. I dont want to speak on the phone can i request that my weekly updates are via email??

Yes you can request but RM have no obligation to agree.

You may wish to get the Union rep involved as they may be more able to get the manager to agree.

I've been off just 2 weeks now and had numerous phone calls & 3 letters sent out. Are they allowed to harass you when you are off with anxiety and stress?! Its not helping. :thumbdown

If so keep and document every letter you could send them a letter detailing your concerns but photo copy/scan it if you can but ultimately you need to be in contact as it is in the absence agreement but I know it can be horrible was the illness due to work? if so putting it in writing to your employer could end up making things worse cannot say as I have never done that.
