Our drivers at Medway were out early this morning and a fair chunk of work never went out.
The early shift also went out in support which resulted in a very large diversion to other Mail Centres .
After 3 hours we were advised to return to work by the branch sec as we were breaking the law.
If issues are not resolved soon through the IR framework then a legal ballot will take place for official industrial action as the members in distribution have had enough.

What was the cause of the walkout?

Drivers from another office being used to cover overtime plus outstanding issues from 2 previous walkouts have still not been resolved(3 walkouts in 18 months)after promises from both management and CWU that they would be addressed.

Too right it was busy today. Didn't help with the extra that came in late on Tues, (I was off and didn't know till this morning) but to be fair was a sh**storm anyway, had 3 sacks of packets, the extra, late, stuff, then a sh** tonne of tracked, didn't get home 'till 15:30. Booking overtime tomorrow!
