Got a resign coming shortly in our office, some arguement about opting out if duty not changed,2010 way forward agreement says duty holder can opt out if no change, others say an updated agreement in the four pillars overides this, any link to this agreement if it does exist

I don't think you can pull 'your' walk from a full resign now. I don't have a link to where it says this officially though.

And so you shouldn’t be able to! One in, all in! Unless it’s for health reasons!

no quite the opposite really.the senior posties have had the easier walks finishing early everyday & now theyve been found out and more is being put on them to bring them in line with the longer duties, theyve demanded a resign in the office so they can pick another duty and some other postie ends up on the duty they ruined by running around, coming in early & not taking breaks

Which is it, are their duties being made bigger because they are easy or because they are quick?

But if the walks have been evened up now with more added to some what difference does it make who picks what round? Or have the do the job properly brigade been dragging their rounds out so nothing gets added(not actually "doing the job properly") just slowly and are worried they will end up on a duty where they will have to get a move on to finish them ?

I think you'll need clarification from someone with access to the agreements downloads. I did think that if your Duty hadn't had a certain percentage of changes it didn't have to be included in the Resign. :hmmmm This was drawn to my attention AFTER we'd had a Resign and I nearly lost my Duty.

We need to bear in mind there are a 1000 Delivery Offices and no two are the same. I'm sure there's Posties who take the Piss Dawdling around, :no no and there's Dickheads who carve up every duty they've ever been on .... cutting corners ... streaming .... doorsteeping ....etc :no no We can't judge what our colleagues are doing when they post a question. Once again I'm afraid the finger of responsibilty can be pointed firmly at your Delivery Management. And we all know most of them are not up to the job. :cuppa
