Our striking members at Bootle have been joined by Warrington Mail Centre and North West Hub. Hopefully management see sense and we can restore service to the area as soon as possible. Solidarity to our members.

We remain committed.... Blah blah blah.
We here this everytime. If RM were really committed to sorting all these walkouts they'd be suspending these bullying managers but somehow that never happens.

The initial walkout was in Bootle over an alleged racist comment made to a Muslim worker. A driver from Warrington MC then refused to cross the picket line and was suspended upon return to Warrington leading to a walkout from other staff in the MC.

Standard tactics from RM and no doubt there will be attempts to provoke other walkouts now in DO's where mail levels will be affected by the Warrington walkout. They'll not want to pay a full days wage to people with very little mail or packets coming in.

Normal weekend deliveries and collections should take place in almost all parts of the UK. Please see details below for disruption to services in parts of North West England.

Delays to Mail in the CW, L, WA and WN postcode areas
Staff at our Warrington Mail Centre who took part in unballoted industrial action on Friday have now returned to work. However, we're sorry that mail posted in the CW, L, WA and WN postcode areas is likely to be delayed as we work to recover services affected by this recent action. It’s likely that mail posted in the rest of the country, for delivery in the same postcode areas, may also be delayed.
