Rotational week off in december

Post by Lawrencepa2014 »

Will I still get it? It’s my first year and I’m hoping to go somewhere Saturday-Sunday on the 14th December. I’m happy to do overtime the rest of the week but I’m wondering if they’ll expect me to come in for my whole rotational week off?

Yeah you get your rota week. Don't need to do anything extra to get it. Enjoy the week off, it's a tough time as it is

They cannot force you to work on a rotational week off(Wallington week), if it falls in December you take it. Unless voluntarily work it as o.t.

Well 9am to 2 pm is 5 hours and 8 to 2pm is 6 hours.

To get the 6th week off you work extra hours on your working week to make up for it. In other words, your contract is 30 hours but to get the week off you work 36 hours in a week not the 30 on your contract.

In this case, the manager, and rep are both correct.
