I am having a fact finding interview on thursday as i posted something a while ago on FB about the bullues at my previous office, what is the likely outcome of the meeting? I love my job and have since deleted the post and deactivated my FB account.

Yes, a print out of my comment was shown to me, i was asked to delete the comment then had a letter saying there would be a fact finding interview. The post was one of my old customers saying that since id moved, they were getting wrong post and tgat all my old customers missed me, i commented about the bullies at my old office, as they were the reason i moved, saying that they couldnt do job properly. I didn't say anything about the company though. Im just worried that now ive gone to another office where im happy that the outcome of this meeting will be dismissal. Ive got 18 years exemplary service, hardly any sick time, appraisals from customers. I love my job and am now stressing. When i was bullied in old office i ended having time off with stress

If you are going to advise them to "just deny everything, they can't prove it," they will probably lose their job.
In response to the original question - it depends what you posted.
The fact you have removed the offending article will show some understanding of your behaviour and some level of contrition.
Social media is a minefield.
If it is a first offence I would hope you get away with a warning not to do it again.
But it depends on what you posted and if they want to make an example of you.
I trust you will be represented by a rep at the meeting.

No rep at my office, got letter yesterday, day off today so only really got tomorrow to sort something. The comment i made said that i didnt want to comment on my old customers service as there are spies that will tell my old office what ive put.

Do not attend any meeting without union representation.Biker65 wrote:No rep at my office, got letter yesterday, day off today so only really got tomorrow to sort something. If you have no unit rep, then contact your Area Rep.
While I hope it doesn't, and nothing you have posted suggests it will, the fact remains that dismissal is a possibility.
You are entitled to representation. Don't let the meeting go ahead without it.

It seems odd for this to be flagged up if what he said was true. I avoid Facebook has everyone is out to get you on it. Steer clearclashcityrocker wrote:Irrelevant.Dindin wrote: Does anyone have a screen shot?

I would imagine one of the said bullies has tauted, a similar case a guy was handed a 2 year suspended dismissal.

Yes, rumours are there is a team dedicated to it, I was involved in a 3rd party incident. They also trawl RMC, hence pages and pages of warnings.Postie45 wrote: Do RM routinely go through employees social media ?

we had a couple of people sacked for posting stuff on social media. The personal abuse they were writing was completely disgraceful....what means they would employ to break a particular person's legs, disgusting comments about their families etc.

The main thing is never to be too specific about details of people or situations in your DO. If you read it afterwards but before pressing the submit button and think it could be worked out who you are then don't post it. In the case of this forum the best way to get found out is to use your real name or work nickname as the username for this site. Facebook is different again in that your name and photo are likely on there. I think best advice is not to use Facebook in regard to anything to do with your job working for RM. It's too easily referenced.Postie45 wrote:out of interest, who would have reported this ? Do RM routinely go through employees social media ? were they tipped off ?

thanks ! yeah im well aware of protecting my identity already, and do notice others being very specific about their own circumstances which obviously puts them at risk. I was really asking if RM were actually being proactive about searching this kind of stuff, which apparently they are :(Celgar wrote:The main thing is never to be too specific about details of people or situations in your DO.
