Union meetings

Does anybody actually have them anymore?I mean locally in their office or even out of hours at the pub like We used to? Not being told a bloody thing in My office.

We have 8 a year where all the reps are released to attend at our CWU area HQ

He doesn't mean when you go for a jolly, he means when the rep addresses the concerns of the members s/he is supposed to represent.

If members don't attend it can be demotivating - the last one we had was 6 months ago and well publicised. In an office of 120 it was attended by....7, including the rep and area rep. Big turn outs are assured only when the management are bullying/harassing a large amount of staff, other than that maybe a looming strike, far more people need to get involved in union matters but we live in the world we live in. Gate meetings in your morning break are the best way, in the evening is difficult.

Every member can get ltb by email just go on CWU website.

Some branches have WhatsApp groups or Facebook and u tube videos.

Lots of ways to find out what's happening now.
