Yesterday i delivered a parcel with DHL all over it and no mention anywhere of Royal Mail, and today i did one with 'delivered by Yodel' on it, again with no mention of Royal Mail. What gives? Why are we helping our competitors?

Could they have been items that should have been surcharged?

nope no mention of surcharge on the packaging.

You need to take them to the locker to be surcharged

But as I have a dpd depot on my round we just dump them back in their reception

You delivered it mate... no one else ! ! ! Why would you deliver a competitors parcel ??? I'd have informed a manager and then endorsed it as having insufficient postage before ensuring it went to Revenue Protection at our local Mail Centre. Competitors parcels occassionally find their way into our system. I guess we can expect more with the introduction of Parcel Post Boxes ?

Someone had a job doing this once up a time I neither have the time of inclination to repeat their jobs with out due recompense as it is not my job!

No one's ever said you shouldn't deliver them. I just presumed you did. Happens with QVC stuff all the time. Must be another bit of the supposed "training" I missed. Makes you wonder what else people don't know.

Same. Never been pointed out, never seen it mentioned by anyone else at my office so I assume they deliver them too. I wouldn’t know what RM information to look for anyway.

We deliver stuff all the time when the packaging says delivered by dhl / yodel etc But only if it also has a royal mail postage on it somewhere. If not it gets sent to Revenue Protection. When scanning the tracks in yesterday we got a Amazon parcel that was obviously not for us to deliver. Got a Revenue Protection label from the locker and sent it on its way. Should come back to us in a day or two saying a £3 surcharge to pay.
