Tracked Packets Delivery Time Slots

Is it just our office that don't comply with this? We are a LAT office so whenever we need to cut off we are told to leave tracked parcels, there is a pile left every day when our shift is complete, these packets are then left for the LAT back shift so fail their delivery time, over the last couple of weeks some folk In our office have been told to leave tracked packets from their own delivery to complete lapsing.

Is this normal practice with other LAT offices? How are we supposed to compete with our competitors if we cant deliver the tracked parcels within the time slots we say we are going to deliver them?

I wouldn't worry about it.
Let the manager take the responsibility.
Most managers are not on message and struggle to keep on budget. LAT has just given them another opportunity to cut pressure overtime until the LAT duty struggles to complete on time

I'm surprised that the DOM hasn't had a bollocking from higher up. Tracked AFAIK is next most important after SDs

It's made clear the timings are guidelines only. Afterall, how most of us do our duties probably depends on how busy it is and the specials we have. If I have a special on one of the last loops I'm not going to make I do the loop with it. Some run their oversized first, or last ect. Many things can change how you do a walk.

Out of interest does it work? Are people then able to complete their deliveries and lapsing?
