How can a delivery postman vote yes with the d2ds situation

Post by genesis »

How can a walking man vote yes when the d2d situation is unresolved?

The thought of doing them for nothing ( more than 3) is now weighing heavily on mind and certainly swaying my voteometer to the NO camp.
Does anyone know anything about D2d proposals?

Doubt they'd try and scrap all payments for them, wuld cause an uproar. More likely they will get increased for no, or little extra.
The union will probably want them ready prepped though in exchange for this.

the payment we get for Door to door has been frozen for 12 YEARS !! - therfore we have been getting paid LESS each year for 12 years (due to inflation).
So if they think i'm gonna post 5 D2D for the price of 3 then they can lump it .
D2D has been my issue for years .
Inflation has been ignored ,an now they want us to deliver another 2 for nowt ----EAT s**t CROZIER

D2D

Royal Mail has stated that they are working on a system where all the D2D items will be put in one
envelope - meaning they will only having to pay delivery staff for posting ONE D2D !

All the more reason for a BIG NO VOTE as you do not do not know how much longer your D2D payments will last therefore a pay increase below the rate of inflation is not exactly a good idea!

I don't think the idea of putting d2ds together in one envelope or shrink wrap will go down well with anyone except the public. They'll be able to put the whole bundle in the recycling bin without looking at the contents :dance

RM would have to offer large discounts on their current rates to get business customers interested - if I were a marketing manager I would never allow my carefully designed leaflets to be wasted in that way....

It could be useful for election material though.
