Xmas holiday booked help

I have booked a weeks hols for Xmas starting on the 23rd of Dec, I understand I will have to work the Monday and Tuesday then it’s Xmas Day and Boxing Day. Does this mean I will get back 4 days? Any help appreciated.

Your annual leave should be in hours now. So the cost for that week should be your hours for fri/Sat.

No it shouldn't.
It would be Friday hours taken as leave only. Unless they usually work a 6 day week, which I presume they don't.

I've booked 2 weeks from the 23rd Dec my last day in work will be Sat 21st Dec why are you working on the Mon and Tuesday if you've booked the week off.

Because no leave is allowed in the weeks leading up to Xmas.

Must be different rules for different offices I'm booked off from 23rd Dec so finishing Sat 21st it's all been signed off

I've got the week from the 23rd off , on my leave card it's used hours for 3 days, the Monday,Thursday and Friday with the Tuesday and Wednesday. I wouldn't bother having I had to work Xmas Eve, but I don't. I always thought Xmas pressure didn't include Xmas eve

It might do in DOs as you'll probably have a massive surge in the number of SDs in the system being posted on the Monday

Last time I checked the agreement stated that only 4 weeks can be blocked off at Christmas, not 4 weeks and 2 days. Get the area rep onto this.

I finish Sat 21st Dec for 2 weeks had it confirmed by the DOM this morning and union have comfimed it as well
