Postwomen Toilet Break Suggestions

Hi all,
I am about to start a job as a postie and was worried about toilet breaks; I’ve seen posts about people using empty bottles but that seems more geared towards the men. Do any women have tips on how to relieve themselves on a route?

Are you in a van? If so, drive to a pub, supermarket, hone or even back to the office to use the loo.

If you’re using a HCT then again if possible use a pub or supermarket. Failing that you may have a friendly customer. Most HCT routes are based close to the office so there is that option also.

Check your walk log. If it is up to date it should have options in there.

ask the manager where your toilet stops are on your delivery as when p&l was brought in all this should have been built into the dutys , and if not then drive back to the office to use the toilet , and as for using a bottle or anything else to go in isn't very hygienic so its a big NO in my eyes.

A lot of routes have a school, pub, supermarket, old folks home on them which are generally quite easy to ask to use the toilet. Some smaller shops are helpful too as well as business premises and doctors/dentists etc. Failing that then returning to the depot is the only real option, you should never enter a persons residence. You’ll probably find it’s not too bad over the summer. It’s worse in the winter when it’s cold!

Make sure you go to toilet before leaving the office in the morning, you might not need a toilet for 4-5 hours, I don`t for example.
