Does anyone know if the working week is being cut by another hour this October or have we not achieved enough savings there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day an I have to book extended most days

It's the unions pet project so they will pursue it like a greyhound. I'm in two minds as to whether it is a good idea. Certainly so far there hasn't been a reduction in work as some of what we deliver takes longer to complete.

Less time to do more work leading to people rushing and stressing about wanting to cut off but not feeling like it’s ok to do so.

I don’t understand this mentality. You will be working less hours for the same money yet people moan about it . Royal Mail were never going to shorten duties because of the shorter working week but so what . We have a start and finish time , don’t stress.

From reading through various threads, with the amount of cut-offs I think at some point it'll go the other way and duties will get made longer (with extra outdoor time)

exactly and part of the reason RM have been agreeable to do this as a form of pay rise, theyre cutting hours out of the job and the posties are rushing around to get things done in those fewer hours.
This helps RM cut overall budget by using part timers more sparingly.
