hypothetical strike situation

So if Rm dont play ball and we ballot to strike and get a yes and go out in the autumn, what happens if there's also a (highly) likely election at the same time? Can we go out when there's voting stuff to deliver for a general election?

if a strike is called and a date is set then it wouldn't matter one jot if there was election stuff due for delivery.

we come out when the union give the date to come out. regardless of whatever is due for delivery. that is the whole point of the disruption.

the way the strikes typically work like 1 day per week, RM would have more than enough chance to push the election material as priority

A general election wouldn't solve the impasse on Brexit as the EU are committed to not offering a deal that actually works. The Labour Party would lose a lot of seats but until our MPs start playing hardball we won't get anywhere.

Everyone has to support any strike action otherwise it doesn't work. I think it will start before the Autumn unless any trials of their proposal definitely show that their parcels idea doesn't actually work.

The way strikes typically work is we ballot for strike action, then RM get it ruled unlawful on some technicality or other and the whole thing fizzles out.

I think that happened last time because the union didn't go through the mediation process after the first set of talks. The CWU won't make that mistake twice.

I'm not crossing a picket line but I'm also not going to see poll cards and election material undelivered so someone would have to pull their finger out and solve that.

So loyal customers who use rm all year round can go f::k while election material that most people dont read is a number 1 priority. remember most of the so called politicans use dsa mail f""k rm an the hard working posties. they dont care about us why should posties care whether election guff is delivered.

Also you dont need a poll card to use your vote. as long as you have valid i.d.
