As the days count down towards the result of the pay and modernisation ballot result there will still be many thousands of members of members across the UK who have yet to vote.

By now you will all be aware of the recommendations of both the national and local union. You have received correspondence to your home addresses as well as a vast amount of updates throughout the dispute.

This bulletin is not aimed at swaying anyone’s vote. More than enough effort has been put into publicising the branches position.

We simply want to urge everyone who has not voted yet to do so. By not voting you are throwing away your democratic right and putting your future in the hands of other members.

You may be happy with the deal that is on the table. If this is the case then vote YES and have your say.

On the other hand you may not be happy with the document . THIS BALLOT GIVES YOU THE CHANCE TO MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT.

This has been a long, hard and bitter dispute. Whatever the result it should be settled on the back of a record turnout.

Let’s not give Royal Mail (or anyone else with an agenda) the chance to manipulate the result of this ballot by playing with figures.

Good message and I support the idea that everyone who can vote should do so. However, I think a decisive vote is unlikely I think its going to go down to their wire.

I would add that before any one votes they should read the full agreement, not just the cwu leaflet sent out with the ballot paper.
Read it and make an informed decision!

As a LIFE LONG Trade Unionist who has not yet Voted on the latest "offer" I feel that The Executive are leading me down one road but the Branch are leading me down another I know that everyone in the union has the right to vote and I agree that it should be a large Turnout of Voters to send whatever the message will be to the very top that said ihave very grave concerns with regards to the Pension side of things have had an illistration and it was not good reading BAG THE MONEY THATS ON OFFER NOW AND LIVE TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY OR LINK THE WHOLE BLOODY LOT TOGETHER AND GO FOR THE JUGGLER NOWWWW??????????????????????????????????????

At our last union meeting our head rep recommended a yes vote, however the branch have recommended a no, the CWU have recommended a yes.....

We are falling apart at the seems here!


Never mind who recommends what, vote after reading the agreement in full. Vote with your head not your heart!
