3 day working

Hi, i work 3 days a week, mon, tues, wed 5pm til 6am mon and tues, 6pm til 6am wed. This totals 38 hours per week. I have been on this shift for nearly 2 years now. Shortly after i started (along with 5 others) we were told we have to work full hours on 3 bank holiday weeks a year (working tues to thurs). The explanation is to make up our annual leave due to working a 13 hour day even though we work 38 hours like other full timers. We werent advised of this before we started. Does anyone else have to do this and is it legal?

it might have worked when everyone else was on 39 hrs, but certainly does not now.

Sounds fair has there are 8 BH why should you benefit from 12 hours off for each . We don't

Unfortunately you are only entitled to 5 bank holidays out of 8 each year as any attendance below 4 days
Is granted bank holidays on a pro rata basis.
