There's one house I deliver to that I dread seeing post for. Every time I post something through the door, the 20-something girls that live there shout out abuse. Sometimes it's just crap postman pat jokes, but it's often f**k off you c**t and the like. I have no idea why - probably just looking to get a rise out of me because I ignore them? Today they were out of their house and further along the street. They saw me coming and started chanting 'the postman's gay', and when that didn't get a reaction one of them lifted her top and bra, fully exposing herself, and carried on shouting the abuse - 'look at me you c**t' etc. It might sound a bit comical but the way they were shouting it was really aggressive. I'd be perfectly fine with a bit of good-natured banter but this was way over the line and has me worried they're going to keep escalating to get some sort of a reaction from me.

Any advice for the best way to deal with it?

This person is unhinged by the sounds of it, seriously. As you say, we all get the sh!t banter about bills or postman pat ect which is tiresome and totally original

but this is something else. Exposing herself is a crime. I'd keep a note of what's going on then take it to your dom after a few weeks. Unless you feel physically threatened by these people, then I'd mention it straight away. We've had stuff like this before and they've made them collect their mail. Our dom is pretty hot on this to be fair.

Can I get a transfer to your office?

On a serious note; report it to your DOM, they should send a letter to the address saying if it carries on they’ll have to collect their post from the DO.

I agree with JPro - report it to your DOM - you should not be having to put up with this sort of behaviour.

seriously though, this is classed as Bullying and Harrasment, go to your DOM and refuse to deliver due to your safety.

they will then visit the address and if needed put a hold on the delivery to that address or even the whole street if it carries on.

NO ONE should have to go through what you are going through at work, whether they just think it is a joke or not.

it could even be a police Matter if it carries on.

Hi, this is not acceptable behaviour at all and you shouldn't have to put up with it. I think you should be having a chat to your manager and to the police. Refuse to deliver there.

Postman pat doesn’t deliver mail anymore you silly little slags!!! He only specialises in Special delivery service.
He has the easiest round in green dale and gets to fly a helicopter and doesn’t do lapsing !!! So kindly put your tits away and f**k off!

Contact the police
If a postwoman was out and about, and a group of guys starting harrasing, and showing their knobs theyd be instantly caught, fined/prisoned

Agreed. Had men done this to a female postie they’d be arrested. Obviously no one wants to contact the police but if they show their tits again just report them. Bunch of degenerate scum.

may see extreme but leave that street til the very last and don't deliver anything if they're there and endorse every item why, then kill off after 3 attempts, this should get the locals involved

No sign of them since this originally happened. One shout of 'HELLO POSTMAN PAT' out of a window on Saturday, but no more swearing or flashing. I'll report to DOM if the harrassment happens again, but for now will leave it for the sake of a quiet life.

You should probably give your DOM/Manager a heads up anyway, let them know what's happened & say that if it happens again you'll be bundling up the mail & refusing to deliver the remainder of the street.
