Our office we will be fighting it hard royal mail don't care about its staff or its customers all they care about is Money.

We have heard this is just the start they want all the offices closed NW and NE depots are next, it might not be a bad idea I have worked at one of these small depots and Wolverhampton. Hands down Wolverhampton is better, there’s place to park your vans, more space in the depot, better workplace balance, u get out earlier so u finch earlier..

I don't have knowledge of the distances between these DOs or how long their walks are but amalgamating DOs won't make changes to the lengths of any walk. There may be extra time needed to get to the start of the walks though which would make the moving offices walks longer.
Moving or amalgamating DOs has nothing whatsoever to do with any perceived drop in mail or parcels and RM is lying to the press if it makes these kind of statements. The mail volumes had dropped for a few weeks but they are mysteriously starting to recover now that RM has got its proposal out to move large parcels to the LATs and cut eight thousand walks.

Lorry accessibility might be part of the reason, probably cheaper for RM if they can use 17tonners to DOs, to cut down on the number of runs needed to DOs

Its just a saving money thing nothing else. You struggle to park there as it is as it’s also the mail centre. The north west depot is the old parcel force hub so it could get a 17 tonne wagon in no problem. It gonna start been pretty cramped in there soon.

I cant help with exacts but an old office of mine relocated across town and had a fair bit of notice. People were also reimbursed depending on the difference in change of distance from home to old office and new office. Some people got nothing some people got a fair bit. I think it was one years worth in extra traveling costs.

Not exactly right we've checked and to get us and wombourn in would be a squeeze also parking of cars, wolves haven't got space for another 50 cars unless your willing to pay to park , Bilston it's free.
As for start times we start at 6 wolves start later so we would finish later. It's all about saving money end of.
