2% pay rise

Can someone confirm that the pay rise in April is NOT back dated ?
one of our guys took it upon himself to announce to the whole office during a work time learning meeting
that it was 2% back dated for 2 years :crazy:

I don't think so we already got pay rise in 2018-19 March. Personal allowance going to rise £12500 so we may get few more extra quid from April.

Confirmation from the 4 pillars agreement;

"With effect from the 1st April 2019 for weekly paid employees (1 April 2019 for monthly paid) an increase of 2% on basic pay rates or salary, basic pay supplements, skills and unsocial hours allowances, London weighting and Scottish Distant Islands allowance, overtime and scheduled attendance rates."
