E.V.R has it ended or not ?

last march e.v.r was offered and in september 7 senior posties and freinds of mine had left..i kind of thought shall i or shant i but i left it alone for now..ive not heard anything about it coming again in march when the tax cycle finishes and starts again and the office budget is announced..thing im wondering is the longer it takes for r.m to get the numbers down will they increase the evr packages to hasten the exodus of senior full time staff ?????

In september 4 colleagues were offered e.v.r. in my office , they filled the relevent paperwork in and sent it back. two weeks later they were told , you are not eligble for e.v.r.???. can anyone throw some light on who is and who is not entitled to e.v.r.??

We were told that they have maintained a list of those who put in for it last time, and that others can join it. Aparently they are considering giving EVR again.

Personally, I don't think that they will bother. There are people who are simply resigning, so why would they offer financial incentives to leave?
It's cheaper to let us resign instead!

If anyone is considering leaving RM, I strongly reccomend that you stick it out for a while longer, then they will be more likley to offer you some money for leaving.

i have to agree that as bad as it is if you feel you got to get out at least try and hold out for a payout of some sort..over 20 years service now and the office is at an all time low..managers treatment of staff is appaling and im waiting for 1 of the more senoir posties to flip big time...its gonna happen sooner or later..prob has happened in other offices already

No. I think you'll find they'll grant EVR's where jobs are signed off due to revisions on a headcount basis. But if you take it between 50 and 59 your pension will be enhanced by 6 and 2/3 years then actuarially reduced by 5% per year.

geo route was due it was decided by someone to loose 30 plus jobs and make the rest fit into who was left to deliver it,no one wanted to transfer anywhere so evr arrived,mad rush some trampled in crush as you would expect evr turns up when someone decides a office has more people than a computer says you need

It doesn't get enhanced any more I don't think. You just get the MTSf money, ie up to 2 yrs salary max

It IS enhanced like i said between 50-59 but then actuarily reduced you can find this on RM pensions website then look for 'detailed guide' and download. The actuarial reductions make a big difference so for example if i retire at 55 on EVR my pension will be reduced by 25% (ouch!) It'd still go up with the RPI index every year but never reach the figure as if i'd retired at 60-the current scheme retirement age.
