You are quite right but the fact is the job has just gone down the pan!. I try to tell people not to leave and stay for E.V.R but most have gone on to better job's and have had enough of this place the modern day equivalent of the workhouse!.tooty wrote:k979aaa im afraid RM would b quite happy with a mass exodus it would save them paying out EVR and they would just back fill with 22 1/2 hr contracts hey presto part time RM on the cheap.

In my smallish DO , since the PEC vote big exodus. TOTAL workforce = 40 , left 3 , long term sick =3 ,one looking desperately for medical retirement and three with job interviews pending. these are the ones i know of , so 25% gone or going even before the changes are voted on. Could be unusual but somehow i doubt it. RM must be rubbing their hands with glee. Sorry if it sounds depressing but it is what it is.
General attitude of leavers seems to be "theres no point flogging a dead horse"
Just one practical consequence of our executive recommending this agreement. For this reason alone I think it is justifiable to condemn our unions actions as tacticaly flawed

Overtime and walk cover on part-time hours
Just a quick question: if you do a walk to cover for someone, is that classed as overtime? If not overtime, what is it classed as?tooty wrote:k979aaa im afraid RM would b quite happy with a mass exodus it would save them paying out EVR and they would just back fill with 22 1/2 hr contracts hey presto part time RM on the cheap.
