LEAD IN/ LEAD OUT DAYS FOR HOLIDAYS.
Can anyone shed any light on lead in/out days. I am flying to lanzarote for a week in October and i am flying out on the sunday evening but coming back on the monday morning at 4:00 so i need the monday as a lead out day. i have put in an annual leave extra day request for the lead out day but the manager says he does not have to grant it but speaking to my union rep he thinks that it is still allowed. if this is true could anyone please post a link to the part of the agreement that states this as my manager is the sort who will only agree to it if it is in writing in front of him.

i've never heard of this agreement, we are just told never book holidays until the required leave is authorised.
if your dom still refuses to help, can't you ask someone to swap days off that week?

I’d have said it’s a case of day swap or book an extra days holiday. But if it’s not authorised, then that’s it. Go sick?
But I’ve never heard of less in or less out days for annual leave weeks

LEAD IN/ LEAD OUT DAYS FOR HOLIDAYS.
i have a vague memory of a lead in day.
I believe it was primarily for night shift workers who finished Saturday morning.
