Transfer from delivery to distribution

Been in delivery for over 20 years I need a change how do I go about transferring over to collectio

Advice from someone who's done this.
Start by volunteering for overtime on collections, put yourself out there. Introduce yourself to the collections manager, give them your phone number. Let them know you're available at short notice for any overtime, never say no.
Show them you're reliable & let them know you'd like to transfer.
You're much more likely to get a move if they know you.
Disclaimer: a lot of managers will not be interested if you have a poor sickness record or if you're on a stage.

Don't know if you'll need a class licence as some collections will be done with a 7.5ton lorry. Don't think it'll be that any years before collections from letter boxes are either done during delivery or straight afterwards.

someone in my office claimed they were stressed and has ended up on collections from MC

strangely the stress started when they had to a delivery everyday instead of the cushy packet duty they done for previous 5 years

To add to spacephoenix post. In most mail centres collections = light vans & distribution = 7.5 tonne vehicles. These are two separate parts of RM and you can apply to both sections. Another point worth remembering, if you haven't previously driven transits/lorries then you'll need a changeover before you can get behind the wheel which may be an obstacle you need to overcome.
