Gordon Brown: Does your desire for prudence with the pay of public sector employees, which is done (allegedly) for the public good extend to Royal Mail managers & it's Chief Executive?
Quite clearly Not you 2 faced cu.... ladies organ.
Shall I send that to David Cameron to beat you with at PMQ's? Mmmm...
And yet you expect OUR Union to pay towards the cost of electing your party when you expect us to accept much worse AND have our pensions shafted??
For the first time ever in any election in 30 years as a voter, I will NOT be voting Labour.

Thats your choice sandyman but you surely dont want the other lot in do you ? I think pay differentials between top and bottom are now intolerable when these hardy-faced greedy b*stard bosses (not just RM) are helping themselves to what they like the stinking hypocrisy of it all makes me sick.

Thats not to shabby a deal for having an impotent union and all they did was threaten a ballot. If its a no vote hope Billy n Dave go back and tell RM just give us the same as the managers got thanx.ajohnstone wrote:2.5% on basic , weekday overtime , allowances and promotional increases alll back dated to April 1st 2007

Eh? I didn't mean I want to BECOME a manager I was just wondering, 'How does one become a manager from the ranks of the posties?', i.e. where is the meritocracy (rank based on effort) in becoming a manager? What doesn't a postie do that a manager does to occupy the position that s/he does? Just wondered, that's all: English can be an ambiguous language, at times.IWW Fellow Worker wrote:You simply dump on your own class at every opportunity.majeed wrote:How does one become a manager?ajohnstone wrote:2.5% on basic , weekday overtime , allowances and promotional increases alll back dated to April 1st 2007

Re: the bosses pay deal
Posties work hard & managers don't! Posties don't sh1t on each other (well, most of the time, anyway) & managers routinely sh1t on everyone who crosses their path.majeed wrote:Eh? Re: Oooh!
Don't listen to all those negative posters - we need managers with an open mind and intelligence - rather than the knuckle shuffling zoo residents we have at present. If you have a degree you should enter the fast track programme to become conversant with RMs operation from the ground up - it takes six months to become totally incompetent rather than many years as at present.majeed wrote:

Re: Oooh!
A friend on the vans just came round for a cuppa to see if I needed any advice re. starting work. He told me that promotional prospects did exist in Royal mail and that I could become a manager, so I know that there is another side to things. I think I'd only want to become a manager (a) if I had worked in the business from the ground-up and knew it like the back of my hand and (b) if the vacancy didn't get filled by anyone else, i.e. nobody went forward for it.dvbuk55 wrote:Don't listen to all those negative posters - we need managers with an open mind and intelligence - rather than the knuckle shuffling zoo residents we have at present.
