insurance

Probs a stupid question, but for those of that drive the RM fleet, how do you know you are insured to drive them?, ive never seen any paperwork with my name on that says im insured to drive a rm van.

As far as I know they insure themselves so anyone driving for them is insured

Royal Mail doesn't have insurance they have a bond, in essence, they self insure all drivers. The police know that RM operates under the bond system so if you are in a liveried vehicle they'll know you are covered.

They'll either come under the Bond in a legal agreement with the hire company, or part of the hire includes Corporate drivers rather than named.
