d2d busiest week

so next week forecast to be heaviest week, so how does royal mail help us out they give us 4 d2ds, how we will ever get time to prep and deliver is unreal

its so dumb, its hard enough clearing the duties as it is, this is unnecessary addition to the workload when the customers are desperately wanting their packages.

The answer is to come in half hour early every day ( unpaid ) and/or to have 2 full-timers double prepping for the majority of the first 2 hours of shift like the 2 buddies on the walks that work behind me - out of the door before 930 EVERY day to ensure they are finished on-time.

Yep work2time - Cut off like we did today 4 loops left in (2 each).

20,000+ extra staff for mail centres and 0 for delivery offices - this is what management think of you.

MC's will be doing both inward and outward mail (larger MCs will do both at the same time). Most won't have the room to store much mail so extra staff are needed to get it sorted and out the door (to DOs, other MCs or RDCs). How long would it take the casuals to learn the walks?

Probably not enough hand stamps and a lot of parcels get processed on the conveyors now and there's no room for hand stamping there. Also there's not enough time with the volume of work it's either cancel the stamps and fail some work or just get it sorted and out the door
