Travel time and expenses

Can someone please explain.. if I am travelling over 100 miles a day round trip to work out another delivery office.. how do they pay me.. is it 50p per mile for covering my car fuel and upkeep.. and also.. do they pay my travel Tim each way on top of my wage?

Think it's 45p a mile. You can start at your official start time at your 'parent' DO, travel to the DO you're detached to and finish there
allowing yourself time within your duty hours to get back to your 'parent' DO. Or you can add it on as overtime if they're going
to pay it and you feel generous enough with your time.

Don't forget you need to ensure your private vehicle insurance includes business insurance which covers you for commuting to more than one place of work.

Alternatively, get your parent DO to provide you with transport to get there.

I have worked at other DO's but 15-20 miles one way is my limit - 50 miles is taking the mick I reckon.....

Start at your office at your start time and book the mileage and they will soon stop sending you, depending on your journey they would be lucky to get 5 1/2 to 6 hours work from you.
