Priceless management reply from a part timer informing him he’s finished 40 minutes late,”you’ll make that up by the end of the week” I dare say others on here have had the same reply? It’s wearing a bit thin now,he seems to be on a one man point scoring exercise to save evert penny in his bosses area,at our expense

If you go over 40 minutes , thats 40 minutes docket . If you finish 40 minutes early another day it's up to management to find you 40 minutes work that day. They cannot say you will make it up another day , it's up to them to find you work that day. Even if you finish 1 hour early say on a Tuesday , they have to find you work that day. If you go over 1 hour say on a Wednesday that's 1 hour docket , they can't carry it over. I worked for 25 years on this system and I don't think it's changed.

Just as we thought,it doesn’t help as he manages two offices but spends more time at one than ours,he’s in at the morning for ten minutes then gone,I would love a manager at our office to see what really goes on,and be there when you finish,I haven’t a problem with it despite what others think,we’re just left to get on with it and fight amongst ourselves,he makes me laugh,4 full York’s of flats he said you could get them on two?.. he’s deluded!,,

I'd call his bluff. Wait until saturday and inform him you are due to finish 40 mins earlier.
