AHDC Trials.
Apparently the AHDC trials have also effectively failed and have been cancelled or postponed. The CWU didn't want the devices to trigger automatically so it was changed so posties doing the trial had to trigger the devices manually. The posties then stopped or failed to trigger the devices so RM stopped the trial
To my mind we really need the AHDC so we can fully prove how long the job takes to do on a regular basis. I don't see anything wrong with the AHDC devices working automatically as the PDA actuals are collected automatically. RM do not factor in or pay us for any work completed before duty time starts and some DO do not routinely pay for work done beyond the end of duty time. If you add in the effects of the SWW as well then what RM knows about how long it takes to complete the job is way out. If true AHDC & PDA data could be collated and applied to the computer system that designs the walks then all walks could be made fairly similar in length.

if that's true this company is a f***ing joke as most posties in delivery would have no issue of clocking in and out and actually show there actual working hours without signing a bit of paper in and out
, and this would be another way of getting the runners to work there paid hours , I give up , and the cwu have agreed to it
so that's basically everything in the 4 pillars agreement have gone tits up , no more trials , no use of pda actuals , and no clocking in and out , culture change , what next ?

so do you think that r/m have looked at this and thought if we bring this in where in s**t and its going to cost us money ? as in no early starts and posties taking breaks and using the kit , the cwu should put then to the task and f**k it , s**t or bust .

why has this been pulled in delivery as you would clock in at start time do your indoor and then out on delivery then pda actuals would kick in , then clock out the building on completion , so whats the issue ?

Don’t tell me your another one who has an obsession with people working quicker than you and earning more money by doing overtime. Don’t let it bother you and just concentrate on your own jobworktotime wrote:if that's true this company is a f***ing joke as most posties in delivery would have no issue of clocking in and out and actually show there actual working hours without signing a bit of paper in and out, and this would be another way of getting the runners to work there paid hours , I give up , and the cwu have agreed to it

Lets be honest many predicted that would happen as soon as they realised it would cost them money. Same as pda actuals, if they cost them money because everyone slows down and they have to fill vacancies rather than saving the indoor part and paying the outdoor to a ghoster they will be ignored or used to target "problem" deliveries that cost them money and çauses them hassle. And anýone who thinks the cwu or any agreement will stop them using them like that is deluded.worktotime wrote:so do you think that r/m have looked at this and thought if we bring this in where in s**t and its going to cost us money ? as in no early starts and posties taking breaks and using the kit , the cwu should put then to the task and f**k it , s**t or bust .

I know this wasn't addressed to me but something that does piss me off is those that have agreed two hours for a forty-fifty minutes loop and then come to my frame and try and insist on taking the one light loop I do have on the duty.number one wrote:Don’t tell me your another one who has an obsession with people working quicker than you and earning more money by doing overtime. 'But I don't want any of those, they take 40 minutes! I want the twenty minute one, I can knock it out in ten.'
'Take a f***ing forty minute one and knock it out in twenty then, you're still quids in.'
Sooner or later, a beat dog bites.

The AHDC trial agreement is signed by RM & the CWU and states one of the purposes of AHDC is to investigate reasons for work done before duty time begins and any work completed unpaid with a view to fixing these issues. On face value that is excellent news but it does conflict with RM seemingly always trying to get things done on the cheap. I tend to trust the source that told me the CWU have effectively dropped a spanner in the works. We are near one of the trial sites so that is probably how we have heard about it being cancelled/postponed. It isn't good news having trials fail as it could lead us to a point where RM look to pulling out of the USO or amending it to make cost savings.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Automated Hours Data Capture

You can guarantee rm will try and get out of the uso because it costs too much money. You could argue why should a company have to provide a service without being compensated for being forced to do things they dont really want to do. The other firms we are always compared to, dpd, hermes etc. Dont have to so why should royal mail? I can see rico in a parliament select comitee now saying, give us the monopoly back or we will go bust. I don't give a s**t how other people work or what overtime they get , and the only reason they may work quicker as you say that me is they don't use the lwts or start early or not take meal reliefs or a small delivery etc , by the way do you use the equipment ? , take breaks ?, start on time ? if not why do you pay your cwu subs to go against what the cwu are telling members what to do , so if your a superstar you could save yourself £3.50 a week a bit less o/t for yer .number one wrote:Don’t tell me your another one who has an obsession with people working quicker than you and earning more money by doing overtime. You sound very angry. Just calm down a bit. To answer you questions though, yes I start on time, yes I take my breaks, I don’t use a lwt, I don’t run, my walk is one of the biggest but because me and my partner are good we get it done in plenty of time. People just need to realise some people are just better at the job than others. You don’t have to feel bad about it, it’s just life.worktotime wrote:I don't give a s**t how other people work or what overtime they get , and the only reason they may work quicker as you say that me is they don't use the lwts or start early or not take meal reliefs or a small delivery etc , by the way do you use the equipment ? , take breaks ?, start on time ? if not why do you pay your cwu subs to go against what the cwu are telling members what to do , so if your a superstar you could save yourself £3.50 a week a bit less o/t for yer .number one wrote:Don’t tell me your another one who has an obsession with people working quicker than you and earning more money by doing overtime.
