The royalmail pension for this is the crown jewel in our working life it give's us the chance of a well earned rest for we have earned it to take this away will be the biggest kick in the teeth for all! For if you do not think in voteing this agreement in that you will not be voteing for the very abolishion of this crown jewel vote yes for no future no hope after a life of toil!. JUST VOTE NO! :evil/mad

By my pro-ratio calculations, ie 27 years service at 2008 and pensionable pay of £22123, I lose about £2000 per year off my pension and £6000 off the lump sum using the illustration.

Yes i agree with you i have about 10 year's less in the "business" and stand to lose more.! It is not a case of the have's and have not's every postman/woman's pension will be different depending on service and age and when you started.! BUT EVERY ONE IN THE SCHEME WILL BE WORSE OFF IF THIS GET'S IN NO GAINNER'S JUST LOSER'S.! :shock: :evil/mad

I wonder if MPs will have to work longer as well. I would'nt mind working to 65 if I was on their money. :chuckle

I thought that most of them did that anyway. How else would they have managed to abandon the values on which Labour was founded, and become the Tories MK II?

The CWU should be telling Leighton and Crozier that there is no 60 day consultation and no negotiation on the final salary pension, they should be telling them you f***ed up not us, we kept our part of the deal by paying into the pension when you and the goverment where creaming off 90% of the profits and taking a 17 year pension holiday, over the last 5 years the goverment has tried to take the final salary pension off a lot of civil servant workers and they have all told them to f**k off, and yet when it comes to ours we are prepared to talk about it, we are the only self funding goverment pension and yet we are the ones who are prepared to negotiate, BULLS**T, THERE SHOULD BE NO NEGOTIATION...UNITY IS STRENGTH.

If the finnal salary scheme is closed in april 2008 and our contrabution's frozen and we are to be enrolled in to a new scheme a defined contrabution's scheme is their any thing to stop us leaveing the new scheme and investing in some other scheme, I would and other's like me like advice on this for any scheme that is not finnal salary is inferior and not worth paying into!. VOTE NO!.
