Today received more propoganda from the union on why we should vote yes as well as a lengthy pensions booklet which I`m in the process of reading. Anyone care to comment here what they make of this as and when they get it.

its exactly like the way forwards agreement..cwu getting desperate begging us to sign this new deal...f**k the cwu..this deal is beyond shite..its like having 2 lots of management spouting off the same shite...everybody knows this deal is beyond a joke and yet these cwu propaganda letters just keep coming..

i really hope this deal is voted no..then you will get even more letters from cwu telling us that if we dont vote this deal in then our jobs will go/get a lot worse blah,blah ,blah..theyre going to get a lot worse if this deal does come in..and then a year down the road the same cwu will then tell us that this deal should not have been voted in(if any brain dead posties that cant even be arsed to read this deal decides to sign a yes).,just like they did in the way forwards.

as for the pension booklet,i havent read mine yet,not recieved mine yet..

Read the leaflet. There is nothing positive in it. Some ridiculous quotes:
'Without the agreement the working environment will only get worse' - Yeah what exactly is the purpose of Industrial Action?
' We are supporting the legal consultation process and your views will be key.........' - How can this be true when the Union has already agreed its position during the consultation period (incidentally opposition to the consultation period is impossible) Whilst on this subject the Royal Mail booklet explaining why you will be poorer in later life is published and our Executive, with one or two exceptions, supports the document. Why does nobody challenge Royal Mails assumptions. What will the scheme look like after 40000 job losses? What would happen if we contributed 1% more? Why can't current members of the scheme have the benefits they signed up too, and get it underwritten by the Government if necessary.
' The worst solution would be trying to solve all local matters with a 'one size fits all approach' - Why did we get 'one size' on later starts, network changes, 1/2 hour flexing. pensions etc etc?
' The truth is automation will drive Later starts' - Why didn't they wait for automation before bringing it in by executive action?
' In a competitive environment issues such as flexibility and efficiency will never go away' - True, but no excuse for caving in. We will have a worse deal on flexibility and efficiency than many workers who don't even belong to a Union. I think the above is enough to be going on with, but if there are any responses ..... well there is more to be said.

its just sickening how these letters get sent to you,when its clear as day that the deal is an absolute joke..and i would say the cwu letters are more offensive then the royal mail letters,because i thought the cwu was supposed to be supporting its members..these letters just proves that the cwu have sold us down the river..shafted all of us...even though we lost all that strike pay(liverpool even more so)...just for our union to stab us in the backs..f**k these pussy begging letters from the cwu...

if we have to go out on strike again,then so be it,if this deal gets a big no..thats whats going to happen anyway..
