or should be i am being told 5 hours ?

But as far as I know there is no official delivery span for rurals but they cannot force you to do overtime. Well not yet anyway.

As far as I'm aware it's 3.5 hours maximum (ie the worst case scenario), so on a good day it may be 3.15 and a bad day you cut off! Why do us postpeople make the job so difficult for ourselves.If you work your hours it doesn't matter how big your walk is or how much prep or sorting you have to do.Plus on the vans it takes 20 mins to half hour to get to our delivery points so that's even less delivery or sorting time! Our finish time is 14.10,but our last letter time is 13.35 as then we have 15 to got to a local PO with any slip lefts or to return to the office,followed by 20 meal relief.We actually have morons in our office who think you deliver til 14.10 but you can't tell 'em.
